MEME: The Of Course Game
Oct. 8th, 2024 11:11 amSome of you may be familiar with the Of Course game, but for those of you who aren't, here's the gist:
Two people square off at a time, usually holding hands and looking each other dead in the eyes, making statements or posing questions to each other which can run the gamut from innocent to offensive, wholesome to provocative. When Person A makes their statement, Person B must answer "Of course," whether or not it's true. If they refuse or they delay too long, they lose and must perform a penalty of the winner's choosing. The goal, generally, is to make people agree to absolutely absurd things about themselves that are either outright lies or that they'd never otherwise agree with, at least in front of the crowd of friends usually watching, waiting their turn to challenge the winner. Penalties likewise can be whatever you can think of, within reason.
For an example, you can check out clips of this played by the idol group Zerobaseone here and here.
So for our game, tag your pups in below, then respond to each other with your ludicrous challenges and jump in to commentate on games played by others, if your character so desires. Whoever falters first has to perform essentially a dare chosen by the winner. Feel free to play this out using narrative or just your usual one-liners, whatever you feel more comfortable with.
