Where are they originally from?: Craig Castle, Castle Craig, Aberdeenshire, Scotland (but came directly from France,1943)
How long have they been in Darrow?: 5 years and a bit
What kind of places do they frequent (work, home, etc.)?: Her job at the moment is trying to be a writer, so obviously she’s frequenting a lot of coffee shops and bookstores.
How might others know of them?: She’s fairly chatty and very Scottish, so she may have left an impression on someone in line at the grocery store or the DMV or something.
Do they have any special or unusual skills or hobbies? Being nosy about other people's lives is kind of a hobby.
Is there anything you want to accomplish with them, that you haven't had the chance to? Or, is there any other information about them you think might be relevant? She'll be finding out she’s pregnant soon, so that’ll be fun.

Where are they originally from?: Seoul, South Korea
How long have they been in Darrow?: 5 months
What kind of places do they frequent (work, home, etc.)?: High Gate Terrace (his home), the Bramford Building (Nicky's home), somewhere out in the country where Wei Wuxian & Lan Wangji live, the Koreatown-esque section of Darrow, darting in and out of any and all tea and cafe shops near these places. He wanders around the city a LOT, though. As long as it's not inside a super busy/packed space, he can be found anywhere.
How might others know of them?: Probably not too well, unless his friends speak of him in passing.

Do they have any special or unusual skills or hobbies? He is pyschometric; he can touch stuff and read memories! It's fun until it's not. I have a primer/permissions post HERE with more information.

Is there anything you want to accomplish with them, that you haven't had the chance to? Or, is there any other information about them you think might be relevant? I 100% want to keep creeping up his experiences with his psychometry, so please hit up the primer if you're interested! Eventually, as he's working on some ~~WIZARD!!!~~ training to try to help, I want him to be able to control it. BUT I also want more experiences of him being completely debilitated by it -- I need him to have more terrible experiences with it so it pushes him to take his attempts at controlling his power more seriously. I mean, John is basically just eleven traumas in a trench coat when you get right down to it. Daine also has a few choice memories that are suitably tragic and upsetting.

Age: 52 (he just had a birthday, and I completely forgot about it, oops)

Where are they originally from?: Ankh Morpork, the Disc

How long have they been in Darrow?: Just about eight months, I think

What kind of places do they frequent (work, home, etc.)?: You can find him at all hours at the Darrow Police Department’s third precinct because he knows nothing about work-life balance. When he’s not actually working at his desk, he’s at various greasy spoons around town or, for that matter, anywhere a crime needs solving. He lives in Ocean View Apartments, and while he doesn’t spend a ton of daylight hours at home, people who live there would probably recognize him.

How might others know of them?: I assume he already has a reputation in the DPD as “that grumpy cop with the British accent who’s always smoking cigars and is up in everyone’s business all the time.” He’s very good at his job, has a lot of gravitas, and tends to throw his weight around, so if your pup has connections to law enforcement, there’s a good chance they would have heard something about him.

Do they have any special or unusual skills or hobbies? Ummm he’s good at getting in people’s business, obsessively seeking justice, and smoking too much. He’s extremely good at beating people up (or, at the very least, getting out of fights in one piece) particularly for a scrawny, middle-aged dude. And despite appearances, he actually really enjoys learning new things (even academic-y things), especially if he can see an immediate application.

Is there anything you want to accomplish with them, that you haven't had the chance to? Or, is there any other information about them you think might be relevant? Gosh, I still have so many things I want to accomplish with him! I have two big things on my mind at the moment. First, he’s trying to uncover a bribery scheme in the DPD and is likely starting to make some NPC enemies in the process, so I want to do something with that. Second, he’s in a crappy place emotionally, and I’d like to find a way to push him to do something about that, but I’m still thinking about the direction I want to go in.

List any characters you might want to thread with (specific or general): I enjoy playing him off anyone and everyone! Even if his reaction to someone is basically, ‘what is this nonsense?’ it's still a ton of fun. To get slightly more specific: anyone with Feelings about justice and the law, people who solve crime or want a crime solved, people who would benefit from having a grumpy-but-secretly-caring cop dad.

Age: 22
Where are they originally from?: New Haven, Connecticut
How long have they been in Darrow?: A year and a bit

What kind of places do they frequent (work, home, etc.)?: Lives out at Black Elm (his house from home, gifted to him by the city last summer) in the Darrow countryside, but he and Alex also have an apartment at the Bramford for the sake of having a place in town that's also warded against ghosts. He just graduated in December from Barton, and currently works at the Museums of Darrow doing front-of-house visitor services stuff (sitting at the ticket desk, answering questions, occasionally working various museum events, etc), which I'm planning to shift into a different and more full-time position in the next few months. Can also often be found at most of the major magic supply shops in the city, out at the Necropolis gathering grave dirt on a semi-regular basis, and going on early morning runs wherever in the city makes sense/whenever it's a good excuse to tag him in somewhere.

How might others know of them?: If you're friends with Alex Stern, you've definitely heard about Danny ~~because she's stupid in love with him forever and ever~~. If you're in any way magical and he knows about it, he's probably either asked you too many questions or politely stayed silent whilst trying very badly not to look like he wanted to ask you every single question.

Do they have any special or unusual skills or hobbies? He was part of a secret society/magical oversight board at Yale back home, so he knows a lot about different kinds of magic, can set up and maintain wards, containment spells, and other useful bits of magic he learned for his work with Lethe, and knows how to brew an elixir that lets him see ghosts (and might kill him one day, but let's not talk about that). He also knows an absurd number of languages (Latin, Greek, Dutch, Mandarin, French, and Portuguese), plays a ridiculous number of instruments (cello, upright bass, guitar, piano, and oud), and in addition to running six miles a day also boxes, fences, and does Brazilian jujitsu.

Is there anything you want to accomplish with them, that you haven't had the chance to? Or, is there any other information about them you think might be relevant? He just found out that Alex is pregnant, so that's a big change coming for both of them this year! I always want to do more with him and any and all magic stuff, since he loves it to the point of obsession. I also haven't done enough with his non-magical interests and hobbies (the instruments and sports, but also just him making use of the languages he knows), so I'd love to develop all of those more.

List any characters you might want to thread with (specific or general): Everybody! A lot of the people in his circle were Alex's friends first, so I'd love to get him making friends of his own. Archive and Archive-adjacent pups, since I really should've done more with him ~~making a nuisance of himself~~ getting involved in all of that before now, given his background with Lethe. Musicians, anyone who speaks any of the languages he knows (or wants to learn?), anyone who'd want to be running buddies or sparring partners (or, again, wants to learn? Let him teach you to fence or box or something). Magic users. Other residents of either the countryside or the Bramford.

Where are they originally from?: Oxford, but also technically a weird fantasy world that may or may not have been invented by her neighbor who has a portal to it in his cellar? Her canon is so weird, guys.
How long have they been in Darrow?: ~~TOO LONG~~ Almost three years!

What kind of places do they frequent (work, home, etc.)?: Lives with Neil Perry in an apartment in Candlewood. Currently a senior at Petros High, and hoping to start at Barton in the fall (ultimately for journalism, though she hasn't figured that out yet). Works part-time as a hostess at an as-yet-unnamed fancy seafood restaurant on the boardwalk. Spends a lot of time with Sabrina and Charlie.

How might others know of them?: I feel like at this point, no one really remembers her showing up in the middle of the park in a very fancy dress and an extremely glittery blonde wig, but she certainly hasn't forgotten. She spent a couple months at the end of last year/the start of this one sneaking out and going clubbing by herself (not that we need to discuss it or the reasons why), so any pups who'd have been doing the same at that time might well have seen her. There's also the sex cult rumors that were swirling at both Petros and Darrow High last school year, but we don't have to talk about that, either.

Do they have any special or unusual skills or hobbies? "Being extremely practical" might not be unusual, but she's very good at it, so. She's also a decent singer, is currently learning self-defense from Anne Bonny, likes jazz and Broadway showtunes, and loves the idea of going on an adventure (or hearing about one from someone who has). Additionally, she's way more comfortable with suddenly ending up in a world that's different from your own (or the idea of doppelgangers) than you might expect from a girl from 1960s England, thanks to her weird experience with and in Anterwold.

Is there anything you want to accomplish with them, that you haven't had the chance to? Or, is there any other information about them you think might be relevant? I've had her on a personal plot arc that I'm still really, really proud of, and even happier it's brought her to a pretty decent place now that it's near the end.

List any characters you might want to thread with (specific or general): Everyone in her core group of friends, along with anyone else who'd like to be friends with a sometimes-bossy, matter-of-fact teen who just has a lot of feelings about everything. Other people who'll be going to Barton this fall or are already there. Academics or interesting women (or, bonus, interesting women who are also academics) who don't mind being glommed onto or peppered with questions over tea. People who can help her work out what she wants to do now that she's moving ever closer to real adulthood. Rosie's pretty great at talking to almost anyone, so it's fairly easy to just throw her into a situation and see what happens.

Age: 17 but also like 400-something

Where are they originally from?: Enfield, England

How long have they been in Darrow?: A month!

What kind of places do they frequent (work, home, etc.)?: Colton can probably most frequently be found at the children's home where he lives, and Darrow High where he goes to school. Other than that, he likes to wander so he can be found walking all over the city, especially in the park to feed the birds and squirrels, and the beach to think about his dream bf Castor. He also loves to read, so he can be found at the library reading all kinds of things.

Where you WON'T find him are any cafes or restaurants, as he can't eat or drink.

How might others know of them?: If they go to Darrow High, if they live or frequent the children's home. He's very outgoing, chatty, and curious, so he probably just approaches and talks to all kinds of people.

Do they have any special or unusual skills or hobbies? He can teleport, but he tries not to let other people know he's a spirit so he'll do his best not to let anyone see it. He also has super strength, and can absorb information very quickly. So while he's never been to school before, he learns whatever subject matter they're working on with relative ease.

His main hobby is reading, and he's fascinated by the TV, but if learning counts as a hobby, then that too. He's extremely curious about everyone and everything that doesn't exist in his world.

Is there anything you want to accomplish with them, that you haven't had the chance to? Or, is there any other information about them you think might be relevant? He's pretty new so I'm just playing it by ear- however there are two things I'm planning to do with him. The first is that he figures out that he is definitely dead and did not just come into existence as a clock spirit. In canon he'd been having dreams when he ran out of energy from being separated from his tower, but they were actually memories from when he was alive. He already suspects they're more than dreams, but he hasn't gotten to the part where he was murdered and there's no real confirmation so he's kinda in denial about them being legit. So I'd like him to come to terms with that/learn about his death if possible.

At some point in the future Sabrina and Sam are going to make him human which will be a dream come true for him.

In the meantime I'd like for him to actually get close enough to some people to confide in them that he's a spirit.

List any characters you might want to thread with (specific or general): Anyone, honestly! He spent hundreds of years alone in a tower with no one to talk to, so he has a lot of lost time to make up for. Also, as talkative and cheerful as he tends to be when around others, he's actually been super lonely and also misses his boyfriends and has never had a family ;__; so any company is extra appreciated from him. I'd especially love for him to thread with kids he goes to school with.

(also he's basically a fucking adult but he also secretly wants to be adopted since he's at an orphanage and he thinks that's what's gonna happen XD idek)

And also, I LOVED the thread with him and Nikita, and I love the idea of them continuing to bump into each other randomly. He'll just constantly annoyed by the feeling that she knows way more than she's letting on, it'll be great. :D
