We keep records, it's what we do. I got into the habit of signing mine as D. Arlington, and with how abysmal my handwriting is, it tended to look a little more like a single word. Hence, Darlington.
I tried to get Alex to use a similar convention, but she told me she wasn't going to risk being known as Astern for four years. Can't say I blame her.
