What kind of places does (or will) your character frequent (work, home, etc.)?:

• Work: Jamie's a writer and he kind of works everywhere. Sometimes he works at home, but he also enjoys taking his laptop and getting out around the city.

• Home: #39 Chelsea Cloisters

Do they have any special or unusual skills or hobbies? Back home, Jamie is a well-known, much fêted author, and he's trying to get that back in Darrow. He's pretty good at that, and at kind of wanting to save/protect people but also not listening to them. Also at pissing off his wife.

Is there anything you want to accomplish with them, that you haven't had the chance to? Or, is there any other information about them you think might be relevant?: Jamie's first Darrow book will be picked up for publication shortly and printed by the end of the year, or that's my goal. In the meanwhile, I really want for him to make more friends, because he's a charming and outgoing guy, but he's been pretty insular, trying to preserve his marriage and finish the book and getting to know the city. But back in New York, he was very popular, whether for himself or because he had some measure of fame, and I'd like to get him back to a similar place where he's got a lot of friends and he's going out to parties and spending time around beautiful women, because that's the catalyst for a lot of the drama in his relationship with Cathy (even if it's not really the real reason), and that's something I want to explore. In canon, he ends up cheating on Cathy with his editor, and that's someplace I'd like to take him, because what he finds with her, what he's looking for, is to feel loved and accepted, and he gets that a lot from people around him, but he doesn't feel he gets it from Cathy. She's spent much of their marriage convinced he's already cheating on her, so it's a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy. He's confident almost to the point of arrogance, by turns energetic and withdrawn, a goofy overgrown puppy and a romantic.

List any characters you might want to thread with (specific or general): Anyone. He's pretty outgoing and gets on well with lots of people. Intellectual types, partiers, guys he can just hang out with, women he can befriend. Like I said above, I'd eventually like to do a cheating storyline with him, but I'm not looking to rush it. It would require a close relationship beforehand, where he feels supported and with someone who is very different from Cathy, someone who's very confident and sure in herself and not needy and insecure. He wouldn't do anything — he doesn't want to be the guy Cathy seems to think he is — unless he genuinely fell in love.
